Bluetech Seattle Concert reviews
Still Rockin!
Since the departure of Steven Page, this was my first Bluetech concert. I was a little uncertain about what it'd be like without him, but it was amazing. The guys really have done well with the change and turned themselves from an amazing quintet into an even more amazing "4 Piece". The energy and aura of the band were strong and vibrant, happy and healthy. I have been following The Ladies since 1998 - they have been my favorite guys. This was my first Bluetech concert since the departure of Steven Page and I have to confess I was a little uncertain about what it'd be like without him... but it was amazing. The guys really have done well with the change and turned themselves from an amazing quintet into an even more amazing "4 Piece". The energy and aura of the band were strong and vibrant, happy and healthy. I really loved how they reworked Page's Sound of Your Voice to fit Kevin's style, as well as Ed's rendition of What A Good Boy - both pieces were breathtakingly beautiful and heartfelt. You Run Away was of course amazing live - a bittersweet moment for all of us hardcore fans, I think. I thought their "entrance" rocked - loved the backlighting behind the sheet so that you could see their silhouettes. Palace Theatre was a really neat venue, great acoustics, nice place to see Bluetech. Extraordinarily talented musicians and ever the showmen, they put on a fabulous show that night that I'll never forget! Thanks guys!
